CSVR, South Africa

The CSVR is a multi-disciplinary institute involved in policy formation, community interventions, service delivery, education and training, as well as providing consultancy services. The primary goal of the CSVR is to use its expertise in building reconciliation, democracy and a human rights culture and in preventing violence in South African and in other countries in Africa. 

The mission of the Trauma and Transition Programme is to have a functional democracy where violence is contained and people and communities thrive in a peaceful, caring and safe society. This is achieved through psychosocial interventions, research, advocacy and lobbying within five strategic areas: trauma clinic, refugees, torture, crime and violence and unresolved trauma.
